Menu Functions

vGolf Deluxe Avatar Editor contains many useful functions which can be accessed through various menus. Many functions also have a keyboard shortcut to expedite the editing process. Let's get to it.

Note: On Mac OS X, keyboard shortcuts use Cmd instead of Ctrl.

File

[ New ] [ Open ] [ Save ] [ Save As ] [ Quit ]

New

Create a new avatar.

Shortcut: Ctrl+N

Open

Load an existing avatar.

Shortcut: Ctrl+O

Save

Saves the current avatar.

Shortcut: Ctrl+S

Save As

Saves the current avatar to a different file.

Shortcut: Ctrl+A

Quit

Close vGolf Deluxe Avatar Editor.

Shortcut: Ctrl+Q

Edit

[ Undo ] [ Redo ] [ Cut ] [ Copy ] [ Paste ]

Undo

Undo the last change. You can keep undoing changes until you reach the initial state of the current avatar.

Shortcut: Ctrl+Z

Redo

Redo the previously undone operation.

Shortcut: Ctrl+B

Copy

Cut the currently selected area of the graphic in the editor pane and copy it to the clipboard. If no area is selected, the entire graphic will be cut.

Shortcut: Ctrl+X

Copy

Copy the currently selected area of the graphic in the editor pane to the clipboard. If no area is selected, the entire graphic will be copied.

Shortcut: Ctrl+C

Paste

Paste graphics from the clipboard over the current graphic. Pasted graphics hover over the current graphic in a floating selection. This floating selection can be moved by clicking and dragging.

Shortcut: Ctrl+V

Image

[ Mirror ] [ Flip ] [ Turn ] [ Shift ] [ Load Image ]

Mirror

Flip the current image horizontally.

Shortcut: H

Flip

Flip the current image vertically.

Shortcut: V

Turn

Turn the current image in the desired direction.

Shortcuts: Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right

Shift

Shift the current image in the desired direction.

Shortcuts: A, D, W, and S

Load Image

Replace the current image with one loaded from an image file.

Shortcut: Ctrl+L

Help

Open up this manual using the system's default program.

Shortcut: F1

Display a basic program description, including version number.
